The Macraigor Eclipse Board Test environment consists of:

• JUnit 4.5 ( www.junit.org)
• Macraigor API Java Native Interface, Drivers, and Libraries.
• Example Eclipse JUnit board test projects, tested on manufacturer's evaluation boards using the version of  the software tools we make available on our web site's Eclipse page.
• Other Macraigor Utilities (OcdCommander, Scan Chain Analyzer, UsbDemon Finder) that can be run from inside the Eclipse environment.

We make this environment freely available for use by the customers of our JTAG devices.

The embedded target is controlled from the Eclipse IDE using the following tool chain:

Eclipse (JUnit) <-> Macraigor API JNI <-> Drivers <-> Macraigor JTAG Device <-> Target CPU

 

Where do I get Eclipse?

Eclipse is available from the Eclipse Foundation. Additionally, Macraigor Systems offers a pre-built version of Eclipse Ganymede with the necessary pluggins, see the Getting Started page.

Where should I go then?

If you plan on using Eclipse for your application programming as well as board test, then go to the Macraigor web site. You can get the entire system, with step by step instructions for your target CPU, such as ARM, PowerPC, XScale, x86 and others.

If you are just using Eclipse for this Java Board Test system, then you do not need the extra code for application program development. You can get all you need at the Eclipse Foundation.
